Natalie L. Hocken, 47, is senior vice president and general counsel, responsible across all Berkshire Hathaway Energy platforms for legal matters, including environmental, human resources and insurance. Prior to taking this position, Hocken served as senior vice president in various roles, including strategic initiatives and transmission and system operations at PacifiCorp where she was responsible for strategic initiatives focusing on transmission and legal priorities, overseeing transmission development, open access transmission services and transmission planning for one of the largest privately held transmission systems in the western U.S. Hocken joined PacifiCorp in 2002 and has held various leadership positions.
Prior to joining PacifiCorp, Natalie was an energy attorney with the law firms of Heller Ehrman LLP and LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae LLP in Portland, Oregon. Hocken earned a bachelor’s degree in 1991 from the University of Washington and a juris doctorate degree in 1994 from the University of Oregon. She completed the Utility Management Certificate Program offered by Willamette University Atkinson Graduate School of Management in December 2005.
